Today was another relaxing day in Hoi An, Vietnam. We slept in a little bit and after breakfast made our way to town. Debbie and Amanda had to pick up their clothes from the tailor. After picking up their clothes, Amanda had a cooking class. So, Debbie, Adam and I just hung out in Old Town in Hoi An. It was a relaxing day. The day started at a cafe having some Vietnamese coffee. I can't seem to get enough of it. Adam joined me in the coffee drinking.
After hanging out in the cafe for a while, we just walked around Old Town for a few hours. Did a little more shopping, stopped and saw the Japanese Bridge, bought some Rambutan at the fruit and vegetable market, and had some lunch. It was a very lazy day walking around eating some Rambutan and finding shade when we could. It was HOT here today. Maybe the humidity was up as well.
After Amanda finished with her cooking class, we got a taxi and went to the Marble Mountains. The Marble Mountains are outside of Hoi An, near Danang. It is a few mountains where they, guess what, get marble from. It was interesting to see. There are religious sites on the top of the mountains and many caves. We spent an hour or so exploring the caves and the top of the mountains. It was a great view and very interesting to see. The rain started just as we were leaving. We found our taxi and made it back to the hotel in a downpour. The streets were flooded so it was an interesting ride back to the hotel. I just got back to our hotel by the river and there was a fisherman coming down the river in the rain. It was amazing. It was another very good day in Vietnam! After I finish the blog post, we are headed into town for dinner. It's going to be an early night as our ride picks us up at 7:00 tomorrow morning for our transfer to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Tomorrow is our last day in Vietnam. It is so sad. The Great Adventure of 2015 is coming to an end. We will spend the day in Saigon tomorrow and then catch a very early flight back home. I'll have one more post from Saigon, then the Great Adventure of 2015 sadly comes to an end. Until tomorrow!
